Measuring physical observables with the highest precision possible has become a prime objective in fields ranging from gravitational wave detection to bio-imaging.
A key quantity for analyzing the information extraction in experiments is the Fisher information, which has become an important tool for optimizing experimental designs.
In my research I analyze how Fisher information is conserved during physical processes, providing tools to visualize and optimize the propagation of information and giving deeper insights into the nature of information.

Multi-Particle Cooling

Quantum and high precision experiments require highly isolated systems with suppressed environmental noise.
In Levitated optomechanics this is achieved by trapping nano- to micrometer sized spheres in high vacuum and cooling their motion to achieve precise localization.
In my research I focus on a novel Multi-particle cooling scheme based on identifying and applying shaped wavefronts, which counteract the particle motion.
